Our editorial philosophy at Reanimate is a light touch, intended to preserve the voice and style of the authors whose work we have shared.
In the case of The Ghost Reader Digital Companion, we have left the excerpts by the featured women as found. Our sole intervention was to use a consistent header structure for sections within the documents. This decision is intended to promote accessibility by making the volume easier to navigate with screen readers.
Contributors' notes accompanying many of the excerpts offer further insight on the editorial approach taken by individual editors who provided us with the primary source materials.
Materials were prepared for publication by Tynesha M. McCullers, a PhD student in communication, rhetoric, and digital media at North Carolina State University, and she was compensated for her work.
